Tea and Beautiful Thoughts

The Tea Festival is two days away!

Lars Nielsen

I rarely post. Though it's one of the most fun expressions of the parts of my brain that really enjoy writing.

I'm doing a bunch of tastings at the Garden during the festival, and I'm doing one presentation. Myths and Legends in tea.

I didn't realize how easy it is to pack 50 minutes with story after story, and some weird minor myths too.

Check it out when you get a chance, www.VancouverTeaFestival.ca

It's going to be a blast!!!

We have 20 exhibitors.

We're on for 2 days

There's free tea sipping all day both days.

You get to visit the garden and check out multiple presentations (like mine)

And you get one time access to some of the best tea that the west coast has to offer.

I'll see you around!

Hopefully I start doing this website more often. I really did Love writing this entire myth/legend series.

I should post it to the site afterwards. :)

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Concert series

Lars Nielsen

I have been having the time of my life every Thursday evening for the past couple weeks, and I think I will be in heaven for the next 6 weeks.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen garden in Chinatown (Vancouver BC), has been having a concert series every Thursday. They get different musicians to come and play a ticketed audience.
Knowing that I Love to serve, Sun Yat-Sen has asked me to serve tea during the intermission. This means I get to combine a couple of activities close to my heart. Listening to good music and drinking tea.
Last night was the best so far. The weather was warm, so they positioned me closer to the music, just on the stone path outside of the concert area. My tea table was directly in line of site of the two grand pianos and the 4 pianists, playing beautiful classical music.
Sitting and drinking tea while listening to Hall of the Mountain King.... Yes, it was heaven.

There are a few artists I am looking forward to. in a couple of weeks it appears there will be a hang drum artist. Hang drum always brings me into a little bit of a trance.

May your cup always be full, and delicious.

Vancouver Tea Society

Lars Nielsen

It's an exciting time!

Vancouver tea society has welcomed me onto their board of members.
www.VanTeaSociety.com
We're a non profit, dedicated to popularizing and educating about tea in Vancouver and the lower mainland. Once a year we have an event called the Vancouver Tea Festival.
The event is a way for businesses to connect with tea lovers, by sampling and sharing their products, and participating in educational sessions.
This year we're going to be at the Chinese Cultural Center in China Town Vancouver, we will also be using Dr. Sun Yat-sen garden to host tea services and a couple of education sessions.

This year should be our best year yet. We will be central, and in a favorite spot of mine.
Dr. Sun Yat-sen Garden is my favorite place to serve. And I serve there often. The ponds are beautiful, the scenery is meditative, and even though you're in the center of the bustle of Vancouver downtown, it's like you're in your own little heaven.

I'm pretty happy at this new phase in my career with tea.
